Part load haulage — pay for what you ship.

Part load — also called LTL (Less-than-Truckload) or groupage — is what you want when you don't fill a full trailer but still need to move pallets reliably. Capital Logistics consolidates part loads onto our daily curtain-side trunk routes from our Tallaght depot, so a one-pallet shipper from Dublin and a six-pallet shipper from Drogheda can share a trailer to Cork without anyone paying for empty floor space.

When part-load is the right call

If you're moving fewer than about twelve pallets and you're not paying premium for the entire trailer to sit half-empty, part-load haulage almost always works out cheaper. Groupage routes run on schedule, with consolidated loading at our Dublin warehouse and individually-tracked drops on the way. You get the cost benefit of shared transit without losing the consignment-level tracking that a dedicated run gives you.

How our groupage routes work

A driver collects from your premises — depot, warehouse, factory, site, wherever the pallets are — and the load routes through our Tallaght warehouse for scanning and overnight consolidation. The next morning it ships out on the appropriate trunk route: Cork, Galway, Limerick, Belfast or onwards into UK groupage. Every pallet carries its own barcoded label, is tracked through the consolidation hub, and gets an emailed proof of delivery the moment it lands at the destination.
